Izola - a cute small villiga right after the italian border in Slowenia. There is not much up in spring - at least what we found out - but the Izola Spring Cup, a big ISAF Regatta event for many sailling classes.

For the first time Formula Windsurfing was one of the starting divisons at the Izola Spring Cup 2004, a chance to start the saison with a little Training in Racing.

Day one: 4 Races were done, Wind between 10 and 20 knots with an increasing tendance. Unfortunatly the first races was only finished by wo riders, because obe of the marks of another course was too close to the Fomula course and was seen as the right mark to round for many racers.

Day two:No Wind made us waiting at the beach, but enjoying the party at night where some random dinner was served.

Day three: No Wind gave a lot of racers some more time to relaxe.Some guys like Sebastian (AUT26) decided to leave the event earlier to start a search for wind( trust me, there were arround 20 knots at Lake Garda when I arrived there on sunday afternoon).So enjoying the sun seemed to be the main objective for most of the competitors.

All in all it was a very good organized Regatta and definetly something where the Windsurfteam Austria will join in again.
